Résumé : L'occlusion de l'oeil fixateur est le geste fondamental du test de
l'écran. Cette occlusion produit simultanément deux effets différents:
1°) interruption de la fixation,
2°) dissociation.
Pour mettre en évidence ou mesurer un angle de strabisme, il faut employer une technique
d'occlusion capable d'interrompre la fixation sans dissocier les yeux.

Summary : The occlusion of the fixating eye is the basic step of the cover test.
This occlusion produce two different effects :
1°) the interruption of the fixation,
2°) the dissociation.
To show or to measure an ocular deviation it is advisable to use a form of occlusion which
interrupts the fixation of the dominant eye without dissociating the eyes.
