Résumé : La Lunette Licorne avec une tige mobile dans un plan horizontal, permet
d'étudier les anomalies de la vision binoculaire périphérique. La diplopie provoquée
est normale chez les sujets sains et n'existe pas chez le sujet strabique.
Dans les cas d'adultes strabiques intermittents ou récemment opérés le réveil de cette
diplopie peut être utilisé comme un travail d'appoint. Ce travail permet aux deux yeux,
au moins sur les côtés, de travailler ensemble.
Techniquement, nous utilisons dans le drageoir de la monture, devant l'oeil fixateur, des
artifices plus ou moins pénalisateurs.

Summary : The Unicorn frame with one mobile index moving in a horizontal
plane permits the study of the anomalies of the peripheral visual binocularity. The
diplopia which is evoked, is a normal phenomenon in normal patients and is abolished in
squint.
In an adult, in cases of an intermittent squint, or after a recent operation, the
stimulation of this diplopia may be considered as a help in the treatment. A peripheral
binocularity is better than nothing and incites both eyes to act together. In practice, we
may place in ihe frame, in front of the dominating eye, in succession all or part of the
artifacts known as penalisations.
