Résumé : Les auteurs rapportent 27 cas de déviation verticale secondaire sur 180
ésotropies ayant débuté avant un an. Un seul cas d'élévation en adduction a été
constaté avant un an, les autres cas sont apparus vers 2 ans.
Les auteurs tentent d'expliquer ce retard d'apparition par diverses hypothèses
pathogéniques dont l'hypothèse posturale.

Summary : The authors report 27 cases of secondary vertical deviation among a
population of 180 esotropia witch were beginning before one year old. One case only
(elevation in adduction) was marked before one year old, the others starting around two
years old.
The authors try to explain this late apparition with several pathogenic hypothesis within
those, postural hypothesis.
