Résumé : Après un bref rappel de la technique et du mode d'action des
secteurs, les auteurs font une étude rétrospective des strabismes convergents ayant
été équipés de secteurs.
Leur étude a porté sur 90 cas d'Esotropie d'environ 30DP ayant été vus pour la
première fois avant l'âge d'un an et suivis régulièrement pendant 5 ans.
Au terme de cette étude ils étudient l'angle d'Esotropie, l'acuité visuelle et surtout
l'état de la vision binoculaire et posent deux questions : les secteurs ont-ils été
utiles ? les secteurs ont-ils été nocifs ?

Summary : After a brief reminder of the technical and the action of the
sectors method, the authors conduct a retrospective study of convergent strabismus having
been equipped with sectors.
They conducted their study on 90 cases of Esotropia, inferior or equal to 30 DP. having
been seen for the first time before the age of one and followed for 5 years.
At the end of this study they look at the angle, visual acuity and most of all the state
of binocular vision. Then they pose two questions : were the sectors useful ? did the
sectors have negative side effects ?
