Résumé : La distinction entre les trois formes de l'inhibition visuelle en : neutralisation psychophysiologique, suppression strabique dans le scotome fonctionnel et exclusion dans le scotome amblyopique permet un prolongement des remarquables travaux de l'ophtalmologiste Autrichien HAMBURGER sur les aspects sensoriels et moteurs du strabisme, résumés dans l'ouvrage "Horror Fusionis" (Stuttgart, 1970).

Summary : The distinction between the three forms of inhibition : psychophysiological neutralization, squint suppression in the functional scotoma, exclusion in the amblyopic scotoma allows a prolongation of the remarkable works of the Austrian ophthalmologist HAMBURGER, about the sensorial and motor scopes of the squint, summarized in the book "Horror Fusionis" (Stuttgart, 1970).
