Résumé : L'examen orthoptique apporte des éléments importants pour différencier une paralysie oculomotrice d'un trouble d'origine mécanique. La diplopie, dans la plupart des cas, est le trouble fonctionnel le plus important. Son étude dans les différentes position du regard et la coordimétrie, nous permet parfois d'orienter le diagnostic. Plusieurs cas vous sont rapportés.

Summary : The orthoptic examination provides relevant informations which contribute to differenciate an oculomotor palsy from a mechanical disorder. In majority of cases diplopia seems to be the most disabling symptom. Full ocular motility assessment in all positions of gaze including a coordimetric testing can allow to orientate the diagnosis. We illustrate our findings by several case report.
