Résumé : La rééducation de la vision fonctionnelle est effectuée par l'orthoptiste spécialisé, et prend place au sein d'un protocole de réadaptation fonctionnelle global. Elle s'appuie sur l'ensemble des éléments cliniques et fonctionnels mis en évidence lors de l’évaluation initiale. Cela permet de suivre une progression adaptée à chaque cas, établie à partir du niveau adéquat et personnel du patient. Cette prise en charge vise à répondre aux attentes du patient tout en lui faisant prendre conscience de ses limites et de ses capacités.

Summary : The specialized orthoptist is in charge of the functionnal visual training program which takes place into the global functionnal rehadaptation procedure. This program leans on the totality of the clinical and functionnal elements shown off from the initial visual and sensorial valuation. This allows the orthoptist to build up a program with a real personified progression, estabilshed from the real level of the physical and perceptual visual entry of the patient. This job aims at meeting the patient's requirements as well as helping him to become conscious of his limits and abilities.
