JFO n° 32MÉTHODE SIMPLE POUR ÉTABLIR L'AXE DE CORRECTION PRISMATIQUE DANS LES DIPLOPIES HORIZONTALES ET VERTICALES COMBINÉES

Résumé : Méthode simple pour déterminer l'axe du prisme correcteur dans les diplopies horizontales et verticales combinées, à l'aide du verre strié de Bagolini ou de la baguette de Maddox, plaçés devant un seul oeil, l'autre fixant un point lumineux. Au point où le rayon brillant traverse les deux lumières que le patient est en train de fixer, l'axe du verre strié de Bagolini correspond à celui du prisme qui doit neutraliser la diplopie.

Summary : We present a simple method to identify the axis in which a prism must be placed to correct a horizontal and vertical mixed diplopia using a striated lens of Bagolini or a Maddox groove placed in front of one eye while the patient keeps looking over a fixation light. When the striated luminous line, that the patient is seeing with one eye, crosses the two lights that is seeing, the axis of the lens of Bagolini is the axis of the deviation.
