JFO n° 33LA DÉCOMPENSATION TARDIVE, À L'ÂGE DE LA PRESBYTIE, DE LA PARÉSIE DU GRAND OBLIQUE

Résumé : Après un bref rappel anatomique et
physiopathologique du grand oblique, les auteurs rapportent 20 cas de parésie
congénitale unilaterale du grand oblique, qui ont présenté des perturbations de la
vision binoculaire après l’âge de 40 ans.
Dans ces conditions chaque patient réagit en fonction soit de l’atteinte initiale,
soit des ses capacités adaptatives sensorielles et motrices pour maintenir la fusion.
Dans ces cas, la paralysie de la triple fonction du G.O. est très gênante pour la
plupart des activités, la lecture et l’écriture en particulier, à l’âge de
la presbytie.
Les auteurs rapportent la symptomatologie, le diagnostic, le traitement prismatique, les
résultats obtenus.

Summary : After a brief anatomical and physio-pathological
reminder of the superior-oblique the authors report 20 patients with congenital unilateral
superior oblique paralysis, that have presented some disturbs of the binocular vision,
after 40 years old. Every patient responds in accordance with the initial damage or with his
sensorial and motor adaptations to keep the fusion.
In these cases, the paralysis of the triple function of the superior oblique is a real
obstacle in a most activities as reading, writing, in particular in the presbyopias age.
The authors report the symptomatology the diagnosis, the prismatic treatment and the
achieved results.
