Résumé : Le succès du traitement du strabisme divergent intermittent suppose une normalisation de la vision binoculaire à l'angle objectif. Chez l'adulte, les perturbations sensorielles sont particulièrement ancrées. Dans les 3 cas filmés, l'interposition du moindre prisme a provoqué une perte totale des liens binoculaires et une instabilité du regard avec soit une fuite en divergence soit une surconvergence. Suivi commenté de l'adaptation prismatique, véritable rééducation préopératoire qui a permis de franchir sereinement l'étape chirurgicale.

Summary : Success of the treatment of intermittent exotropia requires a normalization of the binocular vision at the objective angle of deviation. For adult people, the sensorial disruption is very deep. We submit three cases for whom the interposition of any prism has induced a total rupture of the binocular fusion and either increased divergent squint, or convergent squint both with unstable gaze. During several weeks, we have tried to stabilize gaze by wearing prisms until the surgical step, in order to make this one the least disturbing.
