Résumé : Les syndromes alphabétiques des strabismes, observés depuis 1897 ont été décrits et définis. A l'heure actuelle, ils sont indispensables à analyser et sont recherchés dans tout déséquilibre oculomoteur.
Ce sont des incomitances horizontales, dont la déviation du strabisme varie dans le regard vertical soit en haut, de face et en bas. Les principaux syndromes alphabétiques sont le syndrome A et le syndrome V. De par leur
origine multifactorielle, leurs diagnostics reposent sur un examen précis du bilan orthoptique. L'étude de la motilité, du torticolis, d'une déviométrie et des éléments verticaux et torsionnels sont essentiels à préciser.
Leur traitement et leur prise en charge est à la fois médical donnant la correction optique optimale, orthoptique pour un traitement de toute amblyopie éventuelle et surtout-chirurgical pour un meilleur confort fonctionnel sans attitude de tête et aussi à visée esthétique.

Summary : The alphabetical syndromes of strabismus observed since 1897 were described and defined. At the present time, they are essential to analyze and are searched in any desorders oculomotor.
These are horizontal incomitances, whose deviation of strabismus varies in the vertical gaze is in up, face on, and in down. The principal alphabetical syndromes are the syndrom A and the syndrom V. From their multifactorial origin, their diagnoses rest on aprecise examination of the orthoptic tests.
The study of the motility, the stiff neck, a deviometry and vertical and torsional elements are essential to specfy.
Their treatment and their care are at the same medical giving the optical correction optimal, orthoptic for a treatment of any amblyopia possible and especially surgical for a better functional attitude of head and also with cosmetic surgery.
