RULES applied on POSTURELIST

Please, you must discuss into this mailing
list about only one subject for each email and choose a relevant title for
the "subject" field of the head that will appear in the destination list for
each subscribed member. All emails and sections of emails must be as short as possible, and only concerning the declared title (the subject) of it. Your signature must be placed at the end of each email. It must be including your surname (family name), your function, the name of the clinic, hospital, scientific or industrial structure where you are working or which your are representing. It is a good thing if it include also some other pieces of information about you or the structure that talk through you, such as phone number, fax number, address. It is allowed to put into it the URL (Web address) of one or more internet site, but only if YOU are the webmaster of it or them. Please, don't forget that every email software include the function of automatically recall these informations and automatically add them at the end of each email. See the documentation of your software. Never use upper case letters, except if you want to pinpoint on a special and important topic, or into the subject field of your email. You can use *Asterisks* instead of upper case letters in order to reinforce the signification of a word or and idea. Using upper case letters on the net is like TO CRY ! Please restrict the lenght of your lines (70
letters is the limit). As often as possible, give all quotation references, and take care about Copyright rules. It is very rude to forward a personnal email to the
mailing list without asking permission to do it to the author. This mailing list must be
considered as a public discussion, don't forget that point. Use humor, jokes and pieces of sarcasm very carefully. Without direct communication they can be understanded like attacks. Remember that the members of POSTURELIST are from a lot of different countries; don't use references to your local background without explanations. Don't use abbreviations and acronysms. They can't be understood by everybody. Never send abusive emails. You will be send down from the list. Take care about your questions and comments; they must be exactly on the subject of the email. If somebody is not respectfull of this rule, ask him to continue the exchanges on a private way, out of the list. When you quote an email in your reply, please delete all the part of it which is not necessary to understand what you are talking about. Don't let you software automatically quoting all the previous email, may be several previous emails. Nobody appreciate reading 3 or 4 time a long email followed by only one line of reply. Don't "shoot someone from the list down in flames"; this mailing list is a user-friendly one, a constructive mailing list. Please consider all the members of this list as you want they consider yourself. When you make a reply to an email through this mailing list, please verify the address for the answer, in order that your email is really going to the provided member; it is possible to make trouble forwarding to the list a private email. The list members are not concerned by your wishes subscribing or unsubscribing to the list. All request concerning the list must be send to the mailing list administrator, and never to the list itself. All emails concerning the management of the list must be send to : Sometimes, it is possible that members don't know well the
"Net Rules", and as a result ask to the entire list for subscribing,
unsubscribing or asking for any other problem. Be lenient to them, but ask them to read
these net rules |
